Director's Statement:

Round Trip is a coming of age story, inspired by childhood visits to my dad's house. I would board a Greyhound bus every other weekend, so excited to see him. We would fall into an immediate, familial relationship and then, all too soon, it was time to head back to the bus station for the melancholy ride back home. I wanted to use the inherent tension of this compressed timeframe as the backdrop for a story about the transition into female adolescence and its requisite moodiness.

My first and last foray into narrative filmmaking, Round Trip was a labor of love, with friends and family serving as cast and crew, including real life daughter and father, Hope Roth and Rick Biskit Roth, playing the two main characters. My friends and I used our combined skills culled from working on independent feature films in New York City to make Round Trip, and I am extremely grateful for everyone's involvement.
